4 Tips & Tricks to Win at Online Roulette

There are multiple different versions of roulette online, all of which are games of both luck and skills. In order to win, you need to have both. However, to maximise your chances of winning, there are certain tips and tricks you should learn and follow.

We’ve decided to share some strategies successfully used in the past with you, to make roulette a game that is more fun and less stressful to play. Check them out below, experiment with and explore different options, and make sure to enjoy yourself responsibly!

Sit Out Some Spins

The key to winning at roulette games is to rely on your brains more than on your luck. To do so, you must not play impulsively. Playing as many rounds as possible is not going to maximise your chances of winning. On the contrary, you will probably make rushed decisions and end up losing a lot.

Instead, take a break from time to time and skip a couple of rounds. This will give you clarity of mind during which you can think about the future strategy you want to employ and work towards a positive balance.

Stay Within Your Bankroll

Don’t be tempted to bite off more than you can swallow just because someone else is doing it. Before playing, set a reasonable limit (such as 5 or 10% of the money in your account) and bet only that for the night.

It can be tempting to follow suit when someone next to you is betting a lot more units than you are (more so if they’re winning). But remember, Rome was not built in a day.

Play Games with ‘Surrender’ or ‘En Prison’ Features

‘Surrender’ and ‘En Prison’ increase your chances of winning. ‘Surrender’ means that you can recover half of your bet when you place a bet on red/black, high/low, or odd/even and lose because 0 or 00 appeared. ‘En Prison’ means that, if you place a bet on red/black, high/low, or odd/even and 0 comes up, you will not lose your bet. It remains locked on the table for another spin. If 0 hits again, your bet is safe one more time.

In the American Roulette, ‘Surrender’ lowers the house edge from 5.26% to 2.63%. In the European Roulette, the ‘En Prison’ feature brings the house edge down from 2.70% to 1.35%.

Avoid Playing Double-zero Tables

In case you have a choice, avoid the double-zero (American) tables as much as you can. The reason is that single-zero tables have a house edge of 2.70%, while double-zero tables have a house edge of 5.26%. It’s not rocket science that your chances of winning are much higher if you play European or French roulette.

However, an exception to the rule is when the minimum bet on a single-zero table is more than double of the minimum on a double-zero table. In that case, you are better off playing on the double-zero one.
